Overshadowed a bit by the struggling offense and terrible bullpen, the Sox starters have quietly put together a string of excellent starts.  It looks like some of these guys may be starting to hit their stride.  Here are the lines of the last 3 games:

Tonight: Lester 8.0 IP, 1 hit, 0 runs, 4 walks, 6 strikeouts
Sunday: Beckett 7.0 IP, 4 hits, 2 runs, 1 ER, 1 walk, 13 strikeouts
Saturday: Bucholtz 8.0 IP, 3 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks, 9 strikeouts

So in the last three the Sox starters have given up just 8 hits and struck-out 28 batters...now if only they could hit.

Yup ... looks like they should've pulled Halladay after the 8th, too ... Manny, Papi and Youk do it again!! Love Papalbon, man ... and what an awesome game for Lester!

Jays fan folks, congrats, Doc's steak's intact but not a good loss. FYI, Jays pres was interviewed on TV up here the other day about signing Barry and he said he's a distraction but they're not going to say never. They're trying to lure Reed Johnson back but if that's a no-go I want Barry. Season tix, I may as well get something out of it. A man can dream can't he? We have great steroids north of the border, ask Mindy McCready.

BTW, BJ's not getting enough burn, leaving Doc in to keep a streak like that is unforgivable, fire Gibby and get Bobby Cox back in Blue.
