Celtics are now tied for 20th in the NBA draft and a loss tomorrow and wins by SA, OKC and Portland could tie the C's with OKC for the 19th spot and could have a coin flip determine whether they get the 19the or 20th pick.

Silver lining in the drak clouds of this season possibly picking up the 19th pick in a deep draft.

Really hoping they take Damion James from Texas.
correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they could wind up with the 18th pick.

3 teams ahead of them in the East and possibly all 8 playoff teams in the West depending on tiebreakers.  That would work out to the 18th pick.  What am I missing?

can someone tell me what the word is on Doc for next year ..........

i get angry at Doc like everyone else - some of his decisions are simply horrible - he rose to the occasion in the 2008 finals vs the lakers and i think we have a lot to be grateful to him for.

however .................. i don't see any way, barring an absolute playoff miracle by this group, that the Celtics can keep Doc as head coach next season. if for no other reason than he has done all he can here and the players are not listening anymore - it happens.

to have any chance at one more title with these guys, they absolutely need a new voice and a tougher coach to get the discipline back in this team.

is Danny too blind or stupidly loyal to make a change ??

I missed the game tonight, am I right in assuming the Celtics played to win but lost? Another subpar effort?

Abomination of a coaching job by Rivers. Mainly with the way that he handles the bench. Robinson got the minutes he deserved tonight, but they came at the wrong time. He should've been matched up on Pargo or Flip Murray. The bench go to play should be the high Robinson pick and roll every time, yet we ran it twice tonight with that unit and instead watched Marquis, Baby, and Rasheed flail around and do a very nice butchering job on the lead. I strongly feel Doc has ruined the effectiveness of Robinson with headscratching offensive sets.

And then Robinson in at the end just proved that it was some sort of lineup experimentation.

Is Hinrich really a 40% fg shooter?  :o

I thought the effort was there, but the bench, Rondo, and Perk should've been wearing white and red jerseys.

It's weird to say this when Rose dropped 39, but Rondo didn't do a bad job on him. The Bulls run a pick and roll every time and Rose did a good job of mixing up what he did. He took it inside sometimes, shot the J, drew the foul, etc. It's funny because the few times Rondo did gamble ended up being missed fg's for Rose. There were 2 bad defensive plays that stand out: the and 1 where he got caught reaching in unnecessarily on a straight iso and a gamble where he looked to be a foot away from getting the steal and put the pressure on the bigs behind him.

Rose got 14 of the points when Nate was guarding him and in the last minute.
