put this one on Sheed's and BBD's lack of production and Doc's inability to recognize that early enough in the 2nd half to do something about it.

oh well, we don't have to worry about sliding to the 22nd draft pick now that we can't catch Atlanta.  Question is, will enough teams in the West win (and will we lose again) to slide to 18

When the game is tight does anyone ever expect this team to get a stop anymore?  I know I don't.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Doc kind of wanted to win this game tonight, but having Nate in at the end says he reallly did not want to win it that badly. And, while our backcourt has gotten torched tonight, I really am starting to not like our big guys at all. Perk, Davis and Sheed are all pretty much useless. Honestly, KG, on one leg, is playing far better than all of them. Next year, with this frontcourt, is going to be scary.

Agreed on both counts. I'm especially concerned about Perk, who at times acts like he deserves more offensive touches, but too often takes us entirely out of offensive rhythm.

Baby is just a frustrating player that seems to have regressed. I would not miss him if they shipped him off.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

Derrick "No Call on the Palming" Rose.

Max - the refs had NOTHING to do with the outcome of this game tonight. Be real.

He's been PALMING ALL NIGHT---and the refs had a LOT to do with that 3rd quarter---they kept us from pulling away by letting the Bulls get away with all kinds of grabs----WAKE UP-!!

So we lose against a sub-.500 team because we can't buy a defensive stop in the last 2 minutes of the game? Bah!

  • Rondo = Good
I'm not too fond of watching Chicago fans and bench celebrating like that.  Our guys inspire no fear or awe, and I'm not sure who they can intimidate any more.

Perhaps they will find some of the determination they brought to the Bulls series last year.

Honestly, what reason do the other good teams in the NBA have to be afraid of the Celtics?

Rondo typically palms the ball with regularity as well. Somehow, the Celtics faithful do not object.

we played decent defense---Hinrich just couldn't miss.....but he wont hit these vs. the Cavs----Guaranteed.

...and it's going to be an ugly series.  Dwyane Wade could single-handedly beat the C's.

Yeah...that also means that Boston needs to shut down only one player on that team to win the series....I'm not worried about Miami. DWade isn't good enough to beat our entire team single-handedly.

Bummer.

We REALLY could have used TA in this game.  He's the only guy on the team with the size/speed/strength to switch freely between Rose and Hinrich and bother both.

Terrible games for Rondo, Baby and Sheed (combined for 12 points on 4-20 shooting).  Poor games from KG and Daniels.  Average games from Ray, Nate and Perk.  Fantastic game from Pierce.

Celtics opponents have scored 100+ points in 7 of the last 10.

The celtics used to be able to take games away in situations like tonight.  They just can't do it anymore.  You can't trust this team anymore to get stops down the stretch in a close game and to knock down clutch shots.

It's amazing how fast this team has fallen in so little time.

One can only hope the Bulls show as much fight in the playoffs this year if they make it but they'll probably just roll over and let the Cavs send them off quietly into the night.

watching this game has to raise questions as to whether the C's can beat a team that is really motivated to win---which will be every other team in the playoffs.

offensive dry spells and an inability to get defensive stops when needed.
