Celtics Injury Report Update vs. Portland tonight:

Malcolm Brogdon - Right Achilles Soreness - PROBABLE
Marcus Smart - Illness (Non-Covid) - QUESTIONABLE
Jayson Tatum - Left Hip Contusion - QUESTIONABLE

Gallinari, Pritchard and Williams III remain OUT

I mean I hate to be that guy, but if Brogdon plays and Smart is out I think that helps us immensely. Sorry to say but Smart just hasn't been good since coming back from injury, and he's also compounding the issues with poor shooting and poor decision-making. Also has lost his mind in like 4 of the games since the Break (including an ejection). I know he's dealing with lingering injuries, but in a way I think keeping him out in some of these games would also help him with more time to heal as well.

But Brogdon and White have simply been the better players, period. They need to be playing more than Smart nowadays especially as we get closer to playoff season. I just don't understand why we have to "pamper" Smart over the guys who have actually been playing better ball. Smart hasn't earned it this season and he's not as talented as Jaylen/Tatum where you can sort of let it fly

Ugh, Brogdon out now. Feels like that ankle/Achilles soreness has started to creep in now late in the season. Didn’t he have issues with that in Indy?

Yeah. I think he did miss a game or two right before the ASB with "Achilles soreness" this season so I'm hoping they are just being extra cautious and it's nothing serious

Bubble wrap Brogdon for the rest of the season. Keep the 2 seed or don't drop anything lower than the 3rd seed. The C's can beat Philly anywhere.

He did.  My hope is the stretched out nature of the playoffs keeps him available.

You know what happens when they blow them out early. The opposing team somehow crawls back and beat the C's lol

Of course. They’ll be up 75-40 at halftime then I wake up and see the Blazers came back and won 120-110  :P

Let's go into this game with only positive thoughts.  Go Cs and make it two in a row.
