Maybe they should limit the captains to only playing in the 4th quarter or something like that, and that they become player-coaches...

Should be fun...JT against JB.  Watch out for flying elbows.

I wish Vince McMahon scripted the All-Star game.  JB would grab a steel folding chair, hit Lebron and Kyrie with it, and then pull off his uniform to show a Team Giannis shirt underneath.

I was really hoping both JT and JB would be on Team Giannis...
oh well

I don't really watch any other sports outside of basketball. Are the other sports' All Star Games as much of a joke as the NBA's, with the players not even really playing 90% of the time?

Five or six years ago they changed the format, and the players actually played and it was a lot of fun. But since then it has went back to this non-sense.

Pro Bowl is definitely worse. Least the last Q of the NBA ASG is decent. Think the baseball is the best. Never watched a hockey ASG.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Maybe I just remember it differently because I was young, but in the 80’s it seemed like the guys really went at each other on the all star game.  Or maybe it was only in the 4th quarter?  Guys were less buddy buddy with players from other teams then though.

Why would they go at each other in this day & age? There's absolutely nothing at stake. The NBA needs to figure out how to make the All-Star game a meaningful event (if there's even an interest in doing so). Otherwise it's just fanfare and the players will continue to lean into that.

It is pretty amazing to see both teams over 90 at the half.  Just an incredible lack of defense.

I just looked at the list of games, I didn't realize that every single year since they went to this that Lebron has had a team.  The first year it was against Steph, then 2 against Giannis, 2 against Durant, and now Giannis again.  One of these days perhaps Luka or Nikola will overtake him (or maybe Durant since he is out west again).  Be interesting to see how long Giannis keeps ahold of the eastern nod now that Durant has left and for as good as Embiid and Tatum are, I don't think they will get the votes like Giannis does, at least anytime soon.
