Starting jacking up 3s from the beginning and never stopped tonight. Just stupid shot selection. Lazy

Been a common theme with this team for years.

That’s how Brad believes the modern NBA should be played. Team shot a lot of 3’s when he was the coach, they did last year with Ime and it’s continuing with Joe.

You said this a previous game, too, but it's not really true.

Yes, both Brad and Ime prioritized the three point shot, but nothing to the extent of Joe who goes way overboard with it. This year, we have the second most attempts per game at 41.9. Ime last year we were 9th at 37.0 per game, and Brad's last year we were 10th at 36.5 per game.

That's around a 13% increase over Ime and Brad, and it leads to bad habits like tonight where we solely live and die by the three.

Yes, it is true. Stevens constructed this roster to be a high volume 3pt shooting team. You can blame everything on the interim coach if you want to, but you’re missing the forest for the trees. This is what Brad wants. It’s his vision.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

And this Celtics team will never win a Championship with Brad's vision.

On to the next. These bad games happen to every good team in this league. I’ve learned to accept the fact that sometimes the team just doesn’t show up. What i did notice is GWill’s -24. He’s been in a rut lately. I also don’t like the fact that he’s been complaining too much. I think the nearing trade deadline is affecting his game. Him not signing that extension makes him a legit trade candidate.

I'd be ok with it and write it off as a scheduled loss if they had more energy and weren't so lazy at home against a bad team.

Too many same problems each year so far. Bad shot selection, not a single action for a center. Last year we had defense at least, this year not even that. 2nd round is our ceiling this year.

We’re losing breathing room for the 1 seed.

MIL about to be just 1 game behind us and PHI just 2 games…

Maybe this team is just better off being labeled as underdogs and being a 2 or 3 seed. Can't play like dogcrap esp to these lowly teams like the Knicks, Magic, and Suns (G-leaguers) if you a 1-seed.

Humility should bring focus but this team always has a focus issue. Still a good team just don't expect good play every night.

I do think Udoka did a better job at this , better than Brad too,  not as good as Pop or Carlisle could do.

C's only 1.5 games ahead of MIL for 1 seed, 2 games ahead of PHI. And it'll drop another 0.5 if MIL wins tonight. All of a sudden, it's a legit 3-team race for the 1 seed and BOS isn't even guaranteed a Top-2 seed anymore really

Still thawing out after attending last night's game. I'll just make a few observations.

Rob is being criticized but Phoenix' defensive rebounding was pretty good all night. They boxed out really well. And I was really impressed with Bridges. He's a very good player. He did a solid job defensively vs both Jays.

Luke hurt his ankle. I didn't go back through the thread to see if anyone noticed but he was struggling, Joe stayed with him and then he got victimized when his guy beat him down floor - ended up being a big basket in the game. Luke went straight to the locker room after and never came back.

A lot of us - me included - have been on Joe for not resting Tatum. Well last night he did - even as Phoenix was making the run that eventually won them the game. Also Hauser didn't play at all. The need for cover at the 3 is glaring.

Overall, they were disinterested for most of the night. They made a nice run in the 3Q that I thought might carry them to a win but that stretch where Tatum went out cost them the game.

Grant was terrible again. He contributed nothing. As a team, their shooting was as cold as the weather.

One observation on this. During half time just before the game got restarted, the starters came out on the floor and every single one of them was outside the 3 pt line practicing 3's. It's shoot the 3, occasionally try to penetrate and if you don't get to the basket, kick it out for a 3. That's the NBA in 2023.
