This was a Trep game for sure

Hornets were trapped in the Boston Garden and couldn’t get out .

They were sitting ducks
Scal referenced it on the broadcast. This looked like it could be one of those games where the D couldn't get focused and Charlotte would hang around  and maybe steal one. I think there's only been one clunker like that all season and that was in Chicago last week.

They're playing with the same focus night after night that the 08 team did but they're also blowing out the bad teams the way the Bird era teams did.

2 games against the Heat next. I would love a sweep but my gut tells me it’ll be a split.

We win both .  They got three players , we got seven good ones.  They are completely out classed with only an aging butler and nobody to pull his weight when he go’s out .  Their record shows this.

Mazz tweeted that these kind of wins are useless  ::)

He does realize that a win is a win when it comes to seeding right? This is what we DID NOT do with bad teams the past few years and what good teams should do!

I think it’s the Brad Stevens approach: when things are good don’t get too high, when they are bad don’t get too low. Someone asked him at the press appearance to comment on the great vibes coming off the win and he downplayed it. I heard that as: OK, guys, don’t get too high off this win. Another game coming, against a tougher opponent.

this is the key point for me.  for the past few years, this team has played down to the level of the competition almost every game.  this time, they played like the superior team and put down the competition quickly and kept their foot on their throats.  a very pleasant change that I hope continues

Did someone else mention this?  The Celtics were +45 with Tatum, -10 without.  Not having Brown to play when Tatum rests is a factor here but wow, what an impact.

Of course in the WAS game on Sunday (no Tatum), they were +26 with Brown, -17 without.
