Poor Gordy. He's managed to injure himself again. Maybe he fell victim to the IT curse. He pre- and post-Boston games played splits:

Code: [Select]
Year Team Total Games Games Played Games Missed Games Missed/Yr
2010-17 UTA 574 516 58 8.3
2017-23 BOS 236* 125 111 37.0
2020-23 CHA 184 104 80 26.7
2017-23 UTA/BOS 420 229 191 31.8

Everything that happened to him after he signed with Boston has been a disaster.

Has he even played against us since he left for Charlotte? It feels like he's been injured every time.

I harbor no ill will toward Gordon Hayward.  He suffered a gruesome freak injury.  It changed everything for him.  Not his fault or in any way a reflection of his toughness.  He always played hard when he was on the floor for the Celtics.

As to the game, Celtics favored by 11 and 221 over/under.  About how things have been going for the Celtics.  It is the second of a back to back but still hard to be that concerned in this game.  Anything can happen of course.  Take care of business Celtics.  Don't let down.

Tonight has 'Trap Game' written all over it.  Depleted Charlotte team at home with the C's on a roll and with a nice win last night.

I can see Rozier having a big night.

I think the end of the bench’s struggle last night will help prevent the trap game.  They’re likely to be leaned on because of the back-to-back, and will probably be a little more focused than last night.

I wouldn't mind giving Tatum another day of rest, but it sounds like they are giving it to Brown and Horford tonight

Tatum isn’t missing consecutive games unless he’s for real hurt, so I’m glad to see that last night was just to give him a day.  The last time he missed consecutive games (excluding having Covid) was January 2020.

Brown looked to be favoring his shoulder or neck last night. I’m not surprised he might not play tonight.

Holy cow. With all the Charlotte players who are out - LaMelo, Rozier, Hayward, Cody Martin - maybe we should let the Maine Celtics play this one.

Jaylen Brown (neck stiffness) has been ruled out of tonight’s game, per the Celtics.

He was looking like his neck was bothering him last night.  Hopefully just a day or 2 of rest.  And another opportunity for the C's to step up without a top player.

Hopefully not one of those games that the C's get cocky and the Hornets bench smells an opportunity to shock the NBA.
