The Boston Celtics have upgraded Malcolm Brogdon to available for tonight's game.

Marcus Smart has been downgraded to out.
Brogdon's status likely impacted Smart's status.

You know Smart s ankle is bad if he sits out for anything.

Worst injury I ever had was sprained ankle ,  it actually close to a year  before it was 100% back to normal , never got weak or swollen on me again.

It’s probably not good, but I’m also betting sitting isn’t entirely his choice.

I was taking a look at Zion's stats and though he is lauded and promoted like crazy by the NBA's media partners, I am surprised by how much his numbers are lower than last year in very similar minutes.

He's scoring 3.5 PPG less. Rebounding 0.8 RPG less. FG% almost 5% points less. Shooting 1 FGA less. His PER is down 4 points his TS% down 3.5% points.

And for a guy that strong and dominant underneath the basket, he grabs less rebounds a game than Jaylen Brown and has a rebounding percentage equal to Jayson Tatum.

What gives? I figured him to be a monster 30/14/5 guy like Giannis but he is falling well behind that. Is he just too, I'll be nice and say, "big"?

When he is healthy, I think he is all of that.  When I have seen him play at full strength, he has look great to me.  I don't think his size is an issue for his talent but it certainly appears to be an issue with his durability.

This is the reason why I’m hesitant to trade one of our guards for Poeltl (or Collins for that matter). Our depth at this position is really an asset. I know we’re quite thin up front but at least we still have Rob to look forward to.

That depth is huge.  Cs are able roll out 4 effective players who can play point.  It’s working. It’s crazy at this time to make a change.  Near the trade deadline it may be different. Right now, I love Marcus, Malcolm, Derrick and Payton.   Rob, Al, Grant, Luke - could improve there but not at the cost of breaking up what’s happening at the guard positions.

Ingram looks huge to me... as in tall.
