This is murder. And considering that this Steelers defense is pretty good too.

The New England Patriots are dangerously good.
And that is before they add one of the very best receivers in the NFL in AB...

They didn't even have Kyle Van Noy, Demariyus Thomas, N'Keal Harry, Benjamin Watson, and Antonio Brown tonight.

Van Noy + Hightower =  :-*

I haven’t been this pumped about start of Pats season since 2007.

Here’s to hoping we finish better than that one. This team could be very special.

Hi Don Shula!

What an awesome start.

Gotta say, I bet Brady wasn't happy with Karras' long snapping in shotgun formations. Those snaps were soft and fluttering through the air in front of Brady's face
where Brady had to reach forward and secure the ball, instead of having the ball rocket into his hands right in front of his chest. Those types of snaps need to be fixed or there will be some turnovers on them for sure.

Line protected well but couldn't open holes for Michel, though Burkhead did find a couple in the 4th quarter when the game was over.

Gordon and Edelman looked sharp.

Defense didn't get pressure on Big Ben even with the excellent coverage by the secondary. They should have had at least two more coverage sacks given the way the defensive backfield was playing. But Pittsburgh does have a very good OL so maybe that helps explain things.

Overall though...wow. The Pats have given up 6 total points in their last two games. 3 in the SB and 3 on opening night.

A very Bill move. He thought Thomas would be needed and Thomas played ball by being released then resigned after they put Harry on the 1/2 year IR. Bill thought Thomas would be needed and used here.

And then Antonio Brown fell into Bill's lap.....

Thomas was now expendable but Bill probably sent Thomas somewhere he wanted to go, where he could get playing time, and where Thomas might earn himself one more big money contract for 2020....maybe even back in New England.

Thomas looked solid last preseason game. Sorry to see him go but we’re so deep at the position.

Patriots o-line is thin as Isaiah Wynn goes down. Looks like this season will fall short because of the injuries piling up in protecting the QB.

Miss for Gostkowski -- Miami still in this....  Yeah, very disappointing that Wynn is hurt.

Dorsett reminds me of Amendola. Loved that he torched Eric Rowe back there

Pats defense still hasn't allowed a TD since last year's AFC title game.

Offense keeps getting touted due to the weapons but the Pats defense is pretty loaded.

D looks great.  Love the secondary. And Hightower looks very healthy.  O-line and Gostkowski the current concerns.

Gilmore is so good.   D is locking this one down.  Offense can probably overcome O-line deficiency but would love to see Wynn and Cannon back soon.

Seems they can rely on Gunner to field punts.

This point spread went to 18.5 before the game. It probably could have gone to 25 and looked like an early season NCAA Top 20 team vs scrub team line.
