Typical 4th quarter Celtics basketball choke. Not surprised.

Love how Smart played Thompson. Really limited him when he was guarding him.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
We shot well and defended in the 1st half. Then they clamped up the D and the MVP candidate just went bonkers.

Tough to swallow this one. Tough, but I take good things on this loss. We fought, again. We are just not talented enough to beat the best team in the NBA.

This must have been one of the most frustrating games for me to watch this season, since when they went up by 26 I was CONVINCED they were going to lose. And watching 60% of a full basketball game wondering in what manner they will do it is no fun at all.

For the record, I wouldn't have guessed that Brad "no-adjustments" Stevens would watch Jae Crowder trying to emulate Michael Jordan, and do nothing. Bradley would get a honorable mention here, but he's Bradley so his "contribution" was not exactly unexpected.

This team needed more options out there. Sully would have helped out with his low post game.

IT can be a weapon at the end of games but the C's need a real go-to guy.  All part of the process of assembling a team that can contend.  Need more pieces -- but we all know that.

Great to see this assemblage of mediocre to decent players giving good teams fits.

Didn't watch the game.   Why does Crowder shoot so much?

Because Brad S apparently lets him?

I thought the two turning points, in each half, was Stevens going with Bass at center. JJ does a much better job until Zeller gets his rest. Hopefully, KO can help with this.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

The best way to reward a player for grit on both ends is the bench him for a guy that went 4/17 for the game.  ::)

Exactly. Marcus shot 2-6 on threes tonight, IT shot 3-11 on threes, and noone else made more than one. Smart has consistently shown this year that he's one of the better three point shooters on the team, but Stevens routinely has him on the bench in late game situation when they need a three. Mind-numbing.

I didn't think there was a turning point on defense, because GS looked prepared to beat itself all night long. But when the offense consists of every three that is available and Jae Crowder trying to take people off the dribble, you can lose leads much bigger than 26 points.

Yeah, sometimes Crowder forgets what his game is. He's young and wants to grow on the offensive end.

if jae knocks that down we get the w. Other than that, please, stop having to win games twice. Just sustain the run throughout the game

Yeah, what happened to JJ tonight? He only played 12 minutes tonight.
