Celtics and Rockets recently "checked in" about potential Clint Capela trade, per @IanBegley

Something worth noting regarding the Celtics: Boston and Houston had checked in recently about a potential trade involving  Clint Capela, per SNY sources. ESPN reported recently that the Rockets had made much of their roster available via trade.

What can they offer?

Capela. Beal, Brogdon all seem like white whales at this point.

Assuming Horford is gone via FA, it’s hard to se how they get him. Hayward? I don’t think it makes sense to give any of the young guys (Tatum/Brown/Smart).

Unless there’s some sort of convoluted deal to take back CP3’s deal and Capella thrown in as a sweetener?  Just don’t see it.

Danny has probably "checked in" about every player and draft pick in the league. How is this news?

If Horford leaves, he could just fit into cap space, though that doesn’t make much sense for a Rockets team wanting to win now.

A Horford S&T makes much more sense.
