I consistently said that one of the benefits of trading IT was that there should be more room to resign Smart. For those keeping track of the (extremely) small sample size so far this preseason, Smart has gone 7/14 from the field, 5 of 3pt, 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals in 34 combined minutes the first two games.

A Marcus Smart that can actually score a bit is a dangerous weapon on the court.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.
