  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Chris Mullin is being underrated. In '92 he was a 26 PPG scorer at 52% shooting. I'm pretty sure he's better than Melo right now.
I like Marcus Smart

I think it is time to put Lebron on the top of the list.

It makes me sick to write that.

at the very top over MJ?!?

Pretty much

I think he and Jordan are equally dominant, but Lebron does it against better competition and better defenses.

The Bad Boy's Pistons would like a word. Also, LeBron did it with way more help.

Pistons D was not nearly as complex as today's defenses. Jordan had some help too. Pippen, Rodman, Harper were studs.

Think back, Byron Russel was the Jordan stopper back then. Would he have played on any of this year's playoff teams?
"All I have to know is, he's my coach, and I follow his lead. He didn't have to say anything in here this week. We all knew what we had to do. He's a big part of our family, and we're like his extended family. And we did what good families do when one of their own is affected." - Teddy Bruschi

Fun exercise I just did with a friend. Ranking on value at the point in time they're selected (so you're getting 2012 Kobe Bryant). It's tough to do because you're comparing different generations and different players, but it was a good time killer, and led to some fun conversations. Here are the members of the teams, I'll post my ranking in a post below.

1992:
Michael Jordan
Magic Johnson
Larry Bird
Scottie Pippen
Karl Malone
John Stockton
Chris Mullin
Charles Barkley
David Robinson
Patrick Ewing
Clyde Drexler
Christian Laettner

2012:
Kobe Bryant
Lebron James
Kevin Durant
Russell Westbrook
Tyson Chandler
Chris Paul
Deron Williams
James Harden
Kevin Love
Blake Griffin
Andre Iguodala
Carmelo Anthony
TP before I start this, so from memory of their time on team , not prime
1. mj
2.magic
3.barkley
4.lebron james
5.robinson
6.durant
7.drexler
8.bird
9.stockton
10.k malone
11.ewing
12.kobe
13.pippen
14.love
15.chris paul
16.d williams
17.westbrook
18.mullin
19.tie honestly i can't see how iggy, laettner, chandler, griffin or harden belong anywhere near this team, i guess i'd give #19 to carmelo and #20 tie between the rest

this is true but I couldn't get chris above #18, man could score and simply knew the game, the thing is he was a perfect fit for the team, 92 was really well set up TEAM, it wasn't just individual players, hardaway, shaw etc etc

A) In the time frame we're talking about, the Bulls had neither Harper nor Rodman. Meanwhile LeBron had both DWade and Bosh. Michael never had someone who could have won a Finals MVP.

B) Considering the Thunder started Thabo Sefolosha and the Spurse started Danny Green, I could absolutely see Byron Russell starting on Contender, let alone a playoff team.

When EJA hates a player, he really hates a player.

When EJA hates a player, he really hates a player.
I partly interpreted the question as "what player would you most want on your team to win with" and I'm just a huge believer in the Ewing Theory
