So, when you buy a jersey, does it comes with advertisements?

Nope, only for player uniforms.

I saw this earlier.  Think it looks pretty tacky.  But we knew it was coming eventually.

Well, that's good news then.

In Seattle, if you buy the MLS Sounders Jersey, it comes with the huge XBOX advertisement.
It sucks!

So I didn't buy one.

I dont see why this is such a big deal, the owners profit, and the players do as well.

Well that's definitely good news and makes me feel a decent amount better about it.

Yep, could be worse.  Actually, the 2 other teams announced today were Sacramento ("Blue Diamond Almonds") and Philly (StubHub).

It's twisted and grotesque to go with cheerleaders, Lucky the Mascot, creepy interaction with and surveillance of the crowd, the star/scrub system run by inept refs, military promotions and obnoxious, inane sideline interviews.

I also don't like the asst. coach never blinking his eyes. Is that a medical condition? I still think we need McHale and Sanders, a center coach and a center. I was watching Amir closely. How can he be such damaged goods at 29?

Right. It doesn't really affect anything else.

First look at the new jersey with the GE badge;

Pretty discreet. Not bad at all.
I think the badge should be lower on the shirt.
Like the shirt area that is tucked into the shorts.  ;)

You can bet that a good amount of fans are going to want the 'authentic' game jerseys with the GE symbol. There is no way additional profiting won't be made on this 'partnership'.

Btw, not a huge fan of this, at all, but I guess it won't really affect the product on the floor. Guess I will probably just get used to it and eventually think that it's the way it has always been.

That's the trend. The ballparks and arenas are all named after banks these days, Not great Americans. It's about money. They keep pushing up the ante with those players' salaries. You wonder how long the media sports bubble will last.
