Here's a way for us to get Iguodala and Philly to get Stoudemire from phoenix.

Boston gets:  Iguodala & Lou Williams

Philly gets:  Ray Allen & Amare Stoudemire

Phoenix gets:  Elton Brand & Maybe a philly draft pick?

Seems like Phoenix gets a raw deal but the trade machine says the trade won't affect them

We'd do this because Iggy replaces Ray.
Philly does this because they finally get an All-Star big man and  a decent expiring for Iggy.
Now why the hell does Phoenix do this? If they want money, keep Amare or trade him for an expiring(his contract is only for 2 years). If Phx wants skill, KEEP AMARE! Not sure why Phx would ever even litsen to us after we propose this

Doesnt affect PHX?? They get lumped with the NBA's worst contract - average of $17 mil over 3 more years for Brand.

Softened by the blow may be the Philly pick, but you put Ray Allen and Stat on that Philly team for the rest of the year and they start to work their way out of lottery position and into the playoffs as a low seed.

Therefore the Philly pick would only be worth a 14th place or lower draft pick.

Philly gets screwed too. They lose Iggy and Williams only to rent Ray and Stat for 3 months.  There is no way Stat or Ray would resign there anyways.

So Philly giving up a pick on top of that ruins them for 5+ more years.

The Celtics are huge winners out of this.

I LOVE IT!

simpler trade,
ray and wallace for iggy and dalembert.

philly gets rid of two contracts they don't want and gets back a great short term solution at sg, a cheap center and a huge expiring.

we get iggy, who doesn't fit to well into our current offense but is a strong, athletic scorer and solid defender.
more importantly we loose wallace and get back dalembert. a mobile, shot blocking, rebounding center who can pick up some of the slack resulting from KG's injured knees. not saying he is anywhere near KG, but neither is KG. we need rebounding and athleticism in the post. dal brings both.

contracts are big but these two are far more than we could pick up with offseason signings. and would help keep us in the hunt till the end of the KG era.

p.s. god bless Kevin Garnett
