What a difference playing the Grizzlies makes! Oh and having Rondo back helps a lot too. The C's played a lot better than their previous two efforts. A sluggish start to the game but after that the C's clamped down outscoring Memphis in the last three quarters.
Rondo's return moved Marbury back to the bench, and he actually responded by hitting a few shots and getting some nice assists. But the story was Leon Powe. He dominated the paint by scoring on layups, dunks, post ups, and from the line. Despite some nice inside play by Marc Gasol the Grizzles never had an answer for Powe, whether one on one or when he took advantage of their help defenders.
The best part is the bench unit took a decent lead to start the fourth quarter and expanded it until garbage time. So everyone who whines about Powe's lack of minutes or PP/Ray's plethora of minutes should be happy with last night's game.
Now if only NBA League Pass Broadband would have worked I could have seen it all live....
