I don't want Thomas back. Thanks for all he did but it is time to go. There is no max deal or no winning path with him.

Having him return to Boston hurt and sulking is not what we want

Ainge will look like a complete idiot if this trade gets voided. Essentially stuck with a disgruntled player with very little trade value. smh
No, he would not look like an idiot. He would be vindicated as he almost got Kyrie for a hobbled PG, a journeyman SF, and a lottery chance. That is a bargain.

Again, my friend is a physical therapist with a hip specialist certification from Hospital for Special Surgery. His particular area of expertise/interest is labral tears. He's worked with tons of high level athletes/entertainers and he was flabbergasted that IT didn't have surgery. As recently as yesterday, I asked his thoughts and he reiterated that he didn't understand the thought process here. IT could've had the procedure in May and be projected to return to sport at relatively the same time he's supposed to come back now.

It seems like IT has been so fixated on getting a max deal he is trying to push through the injury and secure his future financially. Understandable, but it could really come back to bite him because now the Cavs know what the severity is the entire league will. Should have had the surgery and been willing to take less than max here for the long run.

TL;DR version of my last post: IT needs surgery and its been put off.

Maybe that's a part of why Ed Lacerte and Bryan Doo are goners.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

No, because he doesn't deserve the disrespect.  Dude sold his soul for us last year.

Yeah it's looking like he pretty much cost himself millions. He's a good dude and I don't want his career to be cut short like that.

This is my take on the issue, too. It just makes the trade look even better from our end, and it highlights why the unprotected Brooklyn pick was probably necessary to get the trade done.

I agree that it's probably disrespectful and uncalled for to be laughing, and I hope he still does get a large payday somewhere (just not here).

However, I'm not going to lie either and say that the whole "Brinks truck" and "IT Time" stuff didn't start getting on my nerves last year.

One brinks truck comment was enough. He should've shut his mouth after that.
