thanks for the thread flc. another tp for you.

also, everyone is looking at the parker-rondo matchup as important. actually, i hope that doc decides to have AB cover parker. nothing in the nba rule book mandates that only a pg can cover a pg.

i think AB would have a better chance of containing parker, or, perhaps alternate rondo and AB on parker.

go celtics!!!!  ;D
Yea if I remember right last game Rondo had trouble staying in front of Parker didn't he go off on us?

Indeed he did. Hence my prediction that it could happen again...Parker took advantage of rondo cheating defensively.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

We are the 2 hottest teams right now coming out the All star break this will be a good one

Can Pierce exploit the matchup going against this Kawhi kid or is he solid defensively?

just noticed and remembered they got Stephen Jackson and Diaw now as well somewhat deep

yes, they are extremely deep.
11 guys on their roaster average more than 7 ppg, that's impressive.

I haven't seen that much of Leonard, but according to Grantlands rookie watch, he is a better scorer but worse defender than expected. He takes chances and gets steals, so Pierce needs to take care of the ball. However Leonard also gives up easy shots, when he fails to steal the ball.

AB energy on Parker ...what wwe'll need to have a shot. ANd of course.   KG needs to get ruff with Ducan in the paint,  TImmy can't have an easy time.  Allen can't guard Parker , Parker is a bundle of AB like energy and speed...Rays bad ankle can't take trying to stay with Parker.  AB is the perfect antidote to stay in PArkers game and force turnovers as PArker pushs the ball.

It sucks that they have Splitter of the Bench , how lucky to have TWO 7 foot centers.  That boy can play , he would start for our team...hope they can't afford to keep him.

All players have to to rotate perfect on D.

I know it's a back-to-back game for an "old" Spurs team, but Greg Popovich did a great job of limiting minutes last night but still never letting the game get close.

-Parker dominated play but only saw 22 minutes of action.

-Blair played 20 minutes, Leonard (18), Ginobili (18), Splitter (17) were all limited as well.  Bonner and Jackson both played 10 minutes or less while Diaw, Green, and Duncan were the only ones who logged 23+ minutes.  Suprised Duncan wasn't more limited, but nonetheless the big man rotation will be fresh.

This is going to be a great game and it looks like everyone will be fresh.  Parker having a fringe mvp season, will be an incredible matching at the point tonight. Go C's!

They have Splitter off the bench, but we have Greg Stiemsma.

Very important game tonight.  We really need the win tonight because I don't see us faring too well against the Bulls tomorrow night on a back-to-back game.  Obviously it would be nice to blow out the Spurs and have our starters rest for Chicago but that ain't happening.  Hoping for 1-1 record between tonight and tomorrow.

I agree with the posters on AB covering Parker.  But overall Spurs are clicking on all cylinders.  This would be a much bigger game if Spurs received as much hype as the Lakers.

Status on Ray?  Him coming off the bench for tonight's game would be huge.

Let's go C's!

Yep, just  winning one of the two back to backs would be great for the team.

Other than destroying the Fakers, it just don't get any better than running the Heat out of town .  I 'm still smiling. ;)

The Spurs and Bulls are red Hot .

I think on the whole the Celtics have far more at stake here than the Spurs .

It will be WWIII...
