Spoelstra said after the 1st quarter that it was boston's easiest quarter of the season. What about the 3rd Eric? I think he will just shut his mouth next time and focus on his own team.

Good win today, although not all that surprising. Rondo going off for another impressive performance on a Sunday showcase game is starting to become somewhat of a very pleasant habbit. And, nice that those Sunday games are what resemble the playoffs the most.

Considering that we had to rely a lot on Dooling tonight (who did well though), it's even better. Additionally, Stiemsma already looks like has replaced a lot of what JO is able to do, although he is not as solid defensively.

All in all, nice night - now on to the next one. They got to ride the wave now!

Uhm, wasn't that quote a knock on his own team, rather than the Celtics? I find it hard to think of a more insulting statement than that - he effectively said they were worse than the Bobcats (or, Magic, who in all fairness still hold 'easiest quarter title'), and that is a lot.

Spoelstra should be more concerned with his bad lineup and matchups choices.

The Heat are the most talented team in the league.
Talented in what sense? ball handling? play-making? Long range shooting?  What they've got is 2 all-star wings with off and on 3-balls who thrive in transition and get more than their share of buddy calls. Beyond that, they have a string bean who can shoot, most of the time, Battier, and some semi-complementary filler.

How did this end up being a quote of mine?  :-\

I think when Tenascious replied to the original quote (page 23) he must have made an error when cutting down the post before adding his post.  I can lay claim to the 'Miami is talented' quote.
Right. Sloppy with the edits. Sorry 'bout that.  And shoudlnt be so fiesty about MIA, except one gets tired of hearing how great...

it was a backhand way of saying the celtics weren't that good, his team just didn't try, which is a pathetic excuse imo and Rivers would never say that

Cs are playing like absolute beasts, between shutting down love in minnesota, to this amazing victory, to 30-22 and top of the atlantic/4th seed... this team is playing with a new passion and its amazing to watch

It's hard times for PF's facing KG.

Not to mention that he sets his own team up for failure, by not recognizing that the Celtics are a good team. It's like he hadn't scouted us since they played us around Christmas.

I'll tell you what the media will say: Miami underestimated boston and didn't put forth a good effort. They will wipe the celtics off the floor in a playoff series, lebron and wade a great, blah blah blah, and oh, rondo was not bad today. Let's go to a replay of Wade's fast break layup, isn't he spectacular?

I'm really interested in what our SG rotation will be when everyone is healthy. Avery, Ray and Pietrus all can make arguments for the starting lineup, and Dooling can certainly make a claim for 10-15 minutes a game with his smart offensive play and fairly ferocious defense of late - he was great tonight. Pietrus can grab 10 playoff minutes a game backing up Pierce at the 3, either Avery or Dooling can take 8 playoff minutes a game from Rondo at the 1. Let's say Dooling takes those. That means you have 48 minutes to split between Ray and Avery, and you'd probably want to give Pietrus another 5-10 minutes there as well.

Absolutely our most interesting position moving forward, and it's a [dang] good problem to have. I'd love to see what a Rondo-Bradley-Pietrus-KG-Steamer/Bass lineup can do defensively.
