Interesting, I had McGrady outside the top 5 (though in the 1st round).
Now that is a list I would like to see (once all are taken)

I had him going second overall I think.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

Considering how my original list until a couple of hours ago didn't have HOFers, I didn't even have McGrady ranked.   :P

But for now:

Tracy McGrady

32-6.5-5.5 with 2.5 “stocks” on 46-38-80% efficiency, .564 TS%.

Led the league in fun/loony metrics like PER, OWS, WS/48, VORP, BPM, OBPM, didn’t see any eligible season with close to half that.

Looking at the # of players since 1960 with higher metrics in one season, TMac is 11th in VORP and BMP, 22nd in WS, 27th WS/48.

This is one of the top 25 scoring seasons up to 2010, with multiple seasons by the same player counting. Think top 15 all time scorer, but with a 30%+ assist rate.

Bleacher report, bible of bball info, lists is at the 5th best season to not win MVP, behind Wilt’s best season, MJs best season, DRob’s best season, and just ahead of Lebron and Chris Paul.

Look who’s on the article cover: https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2699535-nba-metrics-101-best-seasons-that-didnt-result-in-mvp.amp.html

Simply put, his peers don’t exist in this league. 2002-03 TMac is MJ.

IMO, of course.

Sure.  I'm not a big fan of his in general so I probably docked him more than others for him quite simply being a loser with poor work ethic.  Talent is immense and the numbers that year are obviously good.

All according to the formula. Very interested to see how the guy he was behind winds up.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

This was my #2. Preventing #1 was on the highlights when he made big outside shots, his home announcers were a bit surprised.

I had Hill in a recent historical draft, so was not going to pick him had he fallen, but he is a very good player. Prototype for the point forward role. Should be able to fit in any lineup

Oof, I wanted Grant Hill so **** badly. While T-Mac may have the offensive numbers, I think peak Hill is an all-around better player imo. Was my 1a for the draft.

McGrady and Hill were both top 3's for me. So far great picks. Might have to make an impulse decision at #5.
