David West is more the comparison for how he is playing now... I just see it as very possible he can be Love-like if the three starts falling for him. He's also a good passer himself for a big if not at Love's level with the outlet.
But either way, I'm very optimistic about Sully. It's been cool listening to some of the away team feeds for these games online and hearing all the announcers start to realize Olynyk and Sullinger can really both play.
Sorry to get so OT, I just wouldn't give up Sullinger for Hayward.
And here is a prime example of what people mean when they say fans overvalue their own players.
Love is not good because the three is falling for him. He's good because he's averaging 12+ rebounds for his career. Given that he's also pretty much automatic 20 points these day, I think that there's zero chance that Sullinger will ever be anything close to Kevin Love.
Sure, he's a nice little player with chronic back and weight issues who has some inside moves, a bit of a jump shot, and a knack for grabbing rebounds and getting charges. But in a universe where his absolute best is Love and his absolute worst is Tractor Traylor, I am not sure which one he'd be closer to, ultimately.
