Been looking for a conclusive answer as to how the ties for the draft order will be broken but not having any luck.

There will be a drawing tomorrow to break ties.

TP to slam for riding this draft pony all season.

I suppose if everything conveys, the "middle part of the first round" will be called the "Ainge zone".

If you want a player, any player, from 9 to 21? Just call Danny..

In turn, if he doesn't trade these picks? Just exactly where is the roster space for even two of these rooks?

One mock
#9 Hunter SF/ Virginia
#12 Garland PG/ Vandy
#19 Bitadze C/Int'l
#21 Herro SG/KY

BTW "tankathon" seems to offer useful draft pick/mock data.

Hunter at 9?  That must be dated pre-season. He is going top 4 or 5 in latest mocks.

In regards to roster space, Rozier and Morris are absolutely gone

If we end up with the 9th pick, maybe someone out there will be dumb enough to offer us four first rounders for it.  :P

I have been finding a twisted level of amusement in playing with their lottery simulator.  Some of the nightmare scenarios are truly terrifying.  One had the mem pick at 12 and the sac pick at 13.  Mem at 1 would be disconcerting as well.

That must be why they call it "tankathon"....

Draft room has hunter at #7
Draft.net has him at #8

I think Ainge needs to trade all these picks to avert anymore "mock eye strain".

The Bleacher report mock dated October 2018 has the Celtics taking Zion at #2 with the Kings pick....I would've been ok with that.

Ideal draft in my eyes (if we keep the picks)

#9 - Darius Garland. Comparison: Jeff Teague

#12- Rui Hachimura. Comparison: Thaddeus Young

#19- Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Comparison: Aaron Afflalo

#21- Jontay Porter. Comparison: Brad Miller/Channing Frye

Wouldn’t be a bad haul at all to get 4 guys with high caliber starter potential.

Ideal is getting number 2 or 3 with the Sactown pick and leaving the draft with either Morant or Barrett.

But if picks remain where they currently sit I would look at

9 - White
12 - Little
20 - Bol Bol or Fernando
24 - KZ Okpala

Well done.

Or maybe Ainge turns down that trade because he's holding out hope of exchanging #9 for Frank Kaminsky?! ;)

Someone may have and they would have been wrong. Where they finished still has to be determined, whether that is finished in the league standings or finished as to where their draft pick ends up.

Memphis could finish 8th in the league standings and Sacramento 13th but the Sacramento pick could finish 2nd and the Memphis pick 10th in that scenario in which case, someone would be wrong in both cases.

Should be interesting to see where the tie breakers have our picks land.

So Danny wants the Memphis pick not to convey. I think he must obviously not want to trade that pick to meet salary in an AD deal. He wants that pick to be top 5-6 in 2021.

So winning in Washington hurt that. If Boston had loss Washington would have been added to the mix of teams tied in the 7-9 slot meaning Memphis' chance at landing 9th would have been reduced from 33.3% to 25%. It also would have moved Boston into a tie with the 18-20 group and instead of a 50% chance to end up at 21, we would have had a 25% chance at #18 for our pick.

Freaking Stevens and not knowing how to properly tank a game. 😄

Depends on the mocks but I agree I think he could go higher.  I think all the mocks have mistakes in them.   The combine will change things too.
