"With the first pick of the 2019 NBA Draft, the New Orleans Pelicans select Zion Williamson. He will be traded to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Jaylen Brown, Robert Williams III, Gershon Yabusele, 2019 #14 pick, 2019 #20 pick, and 2019 #22 pick."

...is what I'd like to hear tomorrow night. I mean, it's been a rough week after all.

all three picks!!!???!!  wth
For another guy under 6'8"  :o

I mean the value of the #1 pick, Zion Williamson, was being compared to Anthony Davis ???
Lol, I was just messing around. I think Zion will be a very very good player

I like watching dreams comes true. I like the crazy suits and the proud mothers. I like seeing guys put on their hats for the first time. I like those Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. moments when Danny first picks and then coming around to the idea once summer league begins. I like seeing where undrafted players end up. I like the ridiculous overreactions on blogs and social media. I like witnessing the same organizations make dumb decisions in the lottery every year. I like the deals that can't be announced until the new calendar year begins.

I think, Zion will be hurt in week 2. he'll be back on duty weighing 350 lbs. after several injuries to players, that went down like bowling pins, the nba will make padded uniforms and helmets mandatory. to stop Zion from weaking havoc, the nba asks Shaq to step in... which he does... literally.
When the two collide, they create a black hole. Jordan appears out of thin air, grabs it and slams it hard with Space-Jam-esque hang time. In the aftermath, earth is declared flat by Neil deGrasse Tyson, who is now also known as Padawan to Kyrie Irving.

so yeah... I'm exited for this draft!
Disappointment is anger for wimps.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Swing for the fences Danny. Don't pick high floor low-ceiling guys. Package the picks for an upside guy if you can.

I expect to be disappointed when it's all done. Like to see them move up and dump at least 1 pick. Knowing nothing about anything I'd take a flyer on Bazley but I'll probably regret that lol.

Bitadze or bust at #14 (unless someone slides). Not to sound offensive, but I think most people that have Kabengele/Fernando/random American big man prospect over him in their board really haven't taken a good look at him. It's so easy to just pencil him in as a slow plodding white guy, but he's much more Nurkic/Kanter than that. He can alsp shoot and handle the ball pretty well for a C lol.
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Barring trades, and depending on how the draft shakes out, I would try to target 1 player from of each of the following groups:

Jaxson Hayes / Bol Bol / Brandon Clarke
Nickeill Alexander-Walker / Tyler Herro / Ty Jerome
Grant Williams / PJ Washington

I think by the end of the night (or the next day when all the deals become public) the C's will have used 2 of their picks and traded the other for a future first.  #14 gets used on BPA.  Either #20 or 22 gets used on BPA as well.

I've looked at about 7-8 different mock drafts and I don't come away feeling good about any of them.  Maybe one player that looks decent and 2 that don't in each one.  (1 mock had us taking 3 guys I wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole).

If I had to guess at who Danny takes depending on who's available at that time, I'd guess he'd lean towards Herro, Bitadze, Clarke and Claxton.  I just don't see him going for a PG in this draft unless he pulls off a move up to get Garland which I just don't think makes any sense.

Hearing from teams who believe Darius Bazley is going somewhere in the 20s, won't make it to the 2nd round

I'm wondering if this is the C's, didn't he just have a second workout with them?

I expect Bazley to be taken at 20 or 22. As an Ohio State alum I followed him a bit because he committed there. Felt like he was talented but needed to mature. Hope he has.
