Right now anything's possible as the Celts have assets and enough cap space for a max contract.

If the Celts shed Yabu's and Ojeleye's contracts, Celts will further open up more cap space.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
Danny's best skill as a gm is acquiring assets. I'm down for him to take on some bad contracts and acquire more assets for the use of the Celtics cap space.

I could also see the Celtics waiting until a week or two into free agency and then searching for value contracts among the players still left. Acquiring bad contracts for picks, or signing players who will be worth picks in a trade later will help the team long term so I expect them to go that route.
