Roy Jones Jr, of 1998 would have cleaned Mayweather 's clock, Moranis.  He had way more power and speed and those things kill in boxing.   I've seen Roy knock a man through the ropes.

If you never seen him when he was in his prime, you really missed something.  Roy fought a heavy weight and won, Mayweather won't fight manny Pacquiao.  Roy fought way past his prime.  Mayweather is a fight dodger.

Of course I've seen Roy Jones Jr., but a lot of what you are talking about is a result of Jones bigger frame and size.  It is much easier to knock some one out (or through the ropes) when you have a lot more mass on your frame.  Mayweather is a very small man.  Even in the Olympics Jones fought and weighed more then Mayweather did last night.  Size matters when you are talking about power.

Pac Man is the one dodging the fight not Mayweather.  I don't buy for a second this nonsense about Manny not wanting to do a blood test within 24 days of the fight because it will weaken him.  Give me a break.  Agree to the dang blood test and be done with it.

You're entitled to your opinion but I would (in my opinion) say you are 100% wrong.
Besides the fact they are in different weight divisions (Roy beat James Toney lol).
Floyd is faster, he also had the best defense that's ever existed in boxing. All those guys fighting Roy in those highlight clips have no defense- Not saying his opponents never had defense but Floyd destroys aggressive guys like that and wears them down.

Most boxing analysts would say that Floyd>Manny and Floyd>Roy Jones.

I love Roy Jones but there is no way he would crush Floyd.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

He won't fight Manny.

Knockouts are often about power.   I have knocked out a few blokes in my day about 10 from single punches.   Body weight and size help but speed and hitting the sweet spot to trigger the head is also very important.  Rocky Marciano beat up and knocked out bigger guys all the time.

Roy in his heyday would own him.  Sorry bu it's going to take more than words to say that Floyd would own him, Marcus 13.  ESPN has Jones ranked higher.

boxing forum doesn't agree with you either, Marcus13.

Roy didn't dodge fights.  Mayweather does he won't fight Manny nor would he fight Winky Wright.  I think Roy was quicker than Floyd and he had power.   Mayweather would not be able to outpoint him.  He would be helpless as Roy would counterpunch with power.   Roy would win on points.   I think they both would be defensive though.

The boxer other than Roy I liked to watch was Joe Calzaghe.  He was a treat to watch.
