Center JaVale McGee re-signs with Nuggets on a reported four-year, $44 million contract.
Yes, this means both JaVale McGee and Anthony Randolph will play for the same team. Both players offer a ton of potential fantasy upside, although McGee will have to start for Denver in order to be a fantasy stud this season. And chances are that he will. McGee excels in shot blocking, but can also score and rebound if the minutes are there, as long as George Karl doesn't lose his patience with one of the league's most unintentionally funny big men.

If JaVale and Randolph actually develop under Karl, which I highly believe they can under a stable system, the Nuggets could be a dynasty in the making. They're loaded with young talent from head to toe.

Eh, "not bad" maybe, definitely not great either.  If people are ripping apart Hibbert getting $14M a year, Hibbert is definitely a better player than McGee who is getting $11M.  Don't a lot of people think Perkins is overpaid at $9M too?

I am under the impression McGee played near the level of Hibbert (not a high level) and has only scratched the surface of his abilities as his tenure with the Nuggets was really short (meaning both his improvement and the chemistry with the team is not even remotely to its fullest yet).

My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

They still look like a team on the long-term mediocrity train that will make the playoffs but never be a serious contender.
