Main Unit

Rose > Monta
B.Gordon > Avery
Shumpert << LeBron
T.Gibson < Ibaka
D.Howard >> BBD

Alternates

Maynor < Chalmers
Fields < CJ Miles
Budinger = Korver
Haslem < Battier
Mahinmi = D.Jordan

Coach

M.Brown < N.McMillan

Summary

I think OKC's main unit has a good advantage over Minny's if BBD is starting but I worry about the players Minny still has on their bench and how the game changes once those bench players start coming in for both sides.

FWIW, I'm probably going to give most of the backup guard minutes to Belinelli, instead of Maynor. Maybe a handful to Maynor.

Likewise, Fields probably won't see much court time. Budinger will get the majority of the backup SF minutes, when Shumpert needs a breather. And Buds will likely come in when LeBron moves to PF (Taj will cover him).

I'll certainly parcel out backup C minutes to Mahinmi when I can.

This leaves the remaining 9th rotation spot, at PF. I think that if I need someone to mark LeBron, I'll probably go with Haslem. Against Ibaka, Davis, or Battier, I'll likely go with Patterson, who's more of a threat on offense and can spread the floor.

Ah, well. I knew this was a losing battle. TP to McHP.

Hope people give Cleveland a chance before they vote in the Finals.

[Edit: that might read as somewhat bitter, not my intent at all.]

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Im actually really, really concerned that Cleveland's favorite KG play as a Celtic was that unremarkable putback.

KGs best play as a Celtic is easily his falling down turnaround shot over Gasol (IIRC) in game 6. Easily. EASILY!

So that would have changed it to:

Alternates

Maynor < Chalmers
Belinelli = CJ Miles
Budinger = Korver
Patterson = Battier
Mahinmi = D.Jordan

A much more even bench matchup. Good changes.
