Christian Wood? Who’s that?  Any good?
He was a decent 13/6 guy last year, but once Andre Drummond left he averaged 23PPG and 10RPG with elite floor-spacing. Reminds me of John Collins

Then we should just go get Collins. Atlanta has added Capella and Kong in the past 6 months and are linked to Gallo...seems like Collins has fallen out of favor and is not getting the max from Atlanta

Has anyone seen any solid reporting that Collins is not "in favor" with ATL? That he's actually on the block? I'd bet they're more likely to trade Capela than Collins.
Pretty sure there was a fair deal of reporting of his availability at the trade deadline, but not much since

Collins wants big $$ which is why they probably drafted Okongwu.  My guess is they will move Collins before the trade deadline.  They're about to make  a big offer to Boggy.

Boggy?

Can we afford Wood irregardless of whether we end up with Turner or Hayward?

Someone is going to overpay wood....

Not us.  We have enough centers, especially if we get Baynes. And/or Turner.

Right now we have 2m, and that is not enough.  Add in the PF spot is also light behinf JT and we need 2 bigs.  Turner(GH S&T) and wood(MLE) would make be satisfied.  Rotation of JT, Theis, MT, CW, RW3,GW  would no longer be the weakness of the team.  Both additions also help the lack of shooting depth when paired with the 2 rookies.  Throw in a second player with MT and we are golden I'd think.

so if Joe Johnson beats Woods out in training camp is he still even in the NBA?

As for being on 5 teams in 5 years when you look at reasons why its much less about him and more about a Vet coming in and he's the easy dump.

ok fine

Can you imagine if he actually develops a reliable inside game, that could be a perfect nick name for him.

Hilarious!  And another TP (not toilet paper) for you.

sigh. i really wanted the celtics to sign wood. but that hope seems to be doomed.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
