Nothing to date suggests that, but we’ll see if we get a Gordo TPE.

Nothing to suggest we actually are, just that it’s a possibility. Lazy journalism

Seems unlikely that we would end up with a TPE big enough to fit Woods, since Hayward's options seem to be Indiana (who would be sending back salary in a trade) or NYK / ATL, who can sign him outright with no need to help the Celts w/ a S&T.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I don't think teams are going to spend a tone of money since covid may mess things up in Feb if they decided to lock down for 6 weeks, so teams might get tight. Rumor is S&T, which I don't know what we can send out now, but maybe a thrid team? Kemba on the move since it looks like we're getting younger.

Christian Wood? Who’s that?  Any good?

He's 6'10' 214 pounds and has been on 5 teams in 4 years. Anything over the minimum is a gross overpay. Then again the Bucks needed 5 first round picks to acquire Jrue Holiday, so what the hell do I know.

He was a decent 13/6 guy last year, but once Andre Drummond left he averaged 23PPG and 10RPG with elite floor-spacing. Reminds me of John Collins

It does smell like Ainge has already got a deal in place for a big. He's dumped both Kanter and Poirier for salary / lux tax space in the past day (and just before FA begins at 6pm).

And Hollinger points out the Pistons are now in a tricky position to re-sign him:

Is it feasible for Cs to S&T Hayward to IND, have Pacers send Lamb + McDermott to DET, and Pistons S&T Wood to Cs?

Hope this is true. Danny was after Wood at the trade dealine last season. We know for a fact that he likes Wood's game.

Then we should just go get Collins. Atlanta has added Capella and Kong in the past 6 months and are linked to Gallo...seems like Collins has fallen out of favor and is not getting the max from Atlanta

I wouldn't mind either. Collins is younger and more explosive, Wood is the better defender, but a bit smaller. Both are great offensive weapons

Has anyone seen any solid reporting that Collins is not "in favor" with ATL? That he's actually on the block? I'd bet they're more likely to trade Capela than Collins.

Depending on Hayward's salary, IND would need to include Leaf, as well. I am not sure DET is banging down the door for a Lamb, McDermott, Leaf trade; but if Wood just doesn't want to be there, I guess there could be a way to make this happen w/ a pick (hopefully a 2nd). We could of course take back McDermott, as well, which might make the deal more palatable for Cs fans.
