Houston have been a joy to watch offensively. Get the feeling they'll be my second favourite to watch this season.

Kevin Martin has been fantastic in the first half, 19 points already. 18 for Brooks. Courtney Lee and Chase Budinger in the open floor and cutting in the half court. Brad Miller's passing. So much to like.
They haven't impressed me as much with the second half. Martin and Brooks have been held in check by a stronger defensive effort by the Lakers.

Yeah, for awhile there they were looking like Adelman's Kings offensively but it wasn't to last. At least not yet.
I don't think they'll get to those kings teams level.

Young Brad Miller, Webber, Divac,.... amazing front court for his system.

Still if Yao can do what he did tonight all season they'll be a playoff team.

The Rockets have missed so many layups tonight (mostly Yao from rust) they should easily be up on the Lakers right now.

Ouch, Artest has taken 15 shots and only scored 8 points.

Yeah, Yao wasn't himself offensively tonight. Looks like 9 points on 16 possession, yikes!

Which is why I'm still shocked that his efficient offense is what tipped the Lakers to a win in game 7....

Ron ron is who he is...

Lakers are not a top five defensive team without Andrew Bynum.

They are a 5th to 10th defensive team.

Two very nice plays from Scola. The nice post move and the offensive rebound and putback.

Wow, Scola has 16 points and 16 rebounds now.

Edit: Make that three plays, lovely driving layup on Pau.

Steve Blake should be starting ahead of Derek Fisher.

Yup, and I think he will be once the Lakers players and staff fully trust him.

Fisher might still get the "start" but the minutes will tilt Blake's way.

Bad inbounds play to end the game. Shouldn't give a player like Brooks (too small = size, length, strength) the ball driving baseline for a layup attempt with that little time on the clock. Too large a chance that someone will block or alter his shot.

Hoping Scola gets Most Improved this year/ an All-Star selection. Plays so hard, such a talented rebounder that makes it look so easy.

Shame the Rockets couldn't put this game away. Lakers looked a bit sluggish, but the atmosphere of the ring ceremony probably accounted for that.

For better and worse, Scola was the Rockets offense down the stretch. I like a lot about that team but their ability to get crunchtime scores (especially with Yao riding the pine) is a worry.

There is no way that Elton Brand can stay in front of Chris Bosh.

The Sixers should put Thaddeus Young on Bosh. Bosh's strength is quickness, take away the quickness and he's limited to contested jump shots offensively (when creating own shots).
