Serious question,
can we talk about what to do when you are surrounded by a group of 8th graders texting eachother the whole movie, running around and whispering?

The guy next to me kicked their chair until they moved, I was just going to get the manager.

Certainly hurt my moviegoing experience, at least until the guy next to me kicked their chair.  ;)
I just yell at them.  Works virtually every time.

just saw beetlejuice, i really liked the movie. Or maybe i just love tim burtons work. Never dissapoints. But i have to admit i only saw 5 o  his films.

Another movie i really liked was the heathers. except for the verry last scene. Cut that off, and you have a great movie. Luckily it only last 30 seconds or something.

I frikkin' love Burtons films.

You made me curious as to how many of his movies I've seen.

Let's see, first, without IMDB, by heart;

- Batman
- Batman Returns
- Edward Scissorhands
- Nightmare before Christmas
- Sweeney Todd
- Corpse Bride
- Beetlejuice

And these I found on IMDB that I've seen as well:

- Sleepy Hollow
- Big Fish (never realized that was Tim, but it does make a lot of sense :P)
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
- Alice in Wonderland

Really can't separate him from JD & HBC, can ya?

Anyway, I think I enjoyed pretty much all of them. I like his style :) Nightmare before Christmas is perhaps my favorite, with Batman Returns close second.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I re-watched Snatch and Seven Pounds. Both movies still get me. Snatch draws you in with the comedy, dry wit, and action. Seven Pounds draws you in with the unabashed manipulation of the audience. Even when you know the ending, it still gets you.

Most of Burton's stuff is pretty good.  I didn't care for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or Planet of the Apes, though.

after checking on wikipedia, for what it's worth, i've seen beetlejuice, nightmare before christmas, sleepy hollow corpse bride sweeney todd and , to my great surprise, pee wees big adventure. And again, without knowi.ng it was from the hand of tim burton, so inbiased, i just loved it.

on a different note, PI from aranofsky, great movie too.
