If you would’ve told me before the game that Brown and Tatum would have basically been a no-show in the fourth quarter and the Celtics win, I would have laughed at you

Whew !!!!

Almost blew a 21-point lead. When will Joe & Co. learn to stop walking the ball up when they get a lead ?
Tatum at point is a disaster, but we keep forcing that "strategy" ?

Yeah, use PP to bring that ball up!

Typical remark. White or Holiday would do just fine, thank you. PLAYMAKERS.
And actually yes, Pritchard would be better than what Tatum does with it.

White is fine. PP brings the ball up faster than anyone else...

The gross thing is all we're going to hear about is how we just got by the bucks without run and dunk

I think we've seen enough wins without stars this year across the league that it should be well-known that you're not always necessarily worse in the short-term when missing a star for a game or two. A star missing allows for others to step up, as well as presenting differing dynamics for players. Dame gets to play more freely without Giannis and got hot in the second half, and the jury is still out on the fit between those two. Let's also not forget that we were missing two of our top shooters, as well.

So I think it's hard to take much away from these kinds of games with stars/rotation players missing. Remember, this game unfolded almost the exact same way that the last one did against Milwaukee in Boston when everyone was fully healthy, so that being said there's two different examples with Giannis both available and unavailable with virtually the same result.

Even worse: I thought the game was only on ESPN and had to listen to Doris Burke.

Ick!

Hey, for us that don't live in Boston and have to rely on League Pass, we always are stuck with the national broadcast.

My positive spin on it is, it’s hard to get wins in the NBa, let anyone when you don’t play well…but credit to this team they’ve come up with 55 so far, even if they haven’t all been perfectly played blowouts. It was a game of runs but we made the last one which is what mattered
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

It’s obviously a hard thing for this team to maintain intensity for 48 minutes. For the most part, the Cs letdowns haven’t been very costly in terms of wins. But the hope was after the Cavs loss they might have a different response up big in the fourth.  But this who they are. You can worry that they allow teams to come back, or you can feel good that most of the time they fight off the run.  It’s concerning for the playoffs but the playoffs require another gear and we won’t see if the Cs have it till they playoffs get rolling.
