  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Im taking the win.

You know I noticed during the 2nd quarter of the game how Quis is playing as a facilitator. WOndering if he can do it consistently within the second unit.

Because rebounds are so scarce these days, I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets giddy when a Celtic grabs one of those two handed rebounds.

Also, I was surprised to hear during the game Doc telling Marquis to "lead them".
I moved the cheese.

Not worried about this loss in the slightest. PP and KG all shot horribly and we still almost came back.

And if Rondo is suspended for 1 game, I still see us playing better the next game and eeking out a win in his abscense.

This team resolve and will to win is really high. Being down by 19 and still get it close to eventually stealing the game makes me confident they can win the next game, and the series. Atlanta played their best game tonight and the Celtics were probably dusting off a little rust, and yet they got close.

I really like our chances in this series. As long as everybody keeps this mentality, and Rondo keeps that fire. While I admit he could be suspended, I love the passion he showed and the great competitiveness and the desire to win. He has to keep it up, less the referee bumping (which should have not happened if not for TWO blown calls).

These Celtics will not go quietly into the dark night. They're too proud.
But once again, we are our own worst enemy. We forget to concentrate. We have to concentrate.
I still believe in Banner 18, though. They can do it if they set their minds to it. I believe.

Go Celtics!

People thought we might not make the playoffs and yet here we are. Poised to defy the odds again. I'm going to work hard all day Saturday and I expect to be rewarded with a trip to the finals.

Thank you big 3. You did your best and far exceeded expectations.

As for the future, it's definitely not as bleak as some of you think.

And because of Rondo's elevated play and the emergence of Avery Bradley, I think the Celtic's future is a lot brighter today than it was even a few months ago.

Now it's pretty clear we have an elite building block in Rondo and Bradley's proven that he at least has a shot to be a very good player on a contender.

It used to be that we likely needed two superstars to add to Rondo, and then a nice bench.  If Bradley and Green improve and at least one other young player pans out, we might only need to get one big name free agent (or one big trade over the next couple of years.

That's still a daunting task, but far easier to pull off than two.  And it'll be a lot easier to do with a better core in place.
