Tom Brady is currently operating under the belief that he will enter free agency to play somewhere other than New England next season, a sentiment the quarterback has shared with others, sources told ESPN's Jeff Darlington.

While Brady has his eyes very clearly on free agency, there is still a belief in his circles that the Patriots will have their opportunity to convince Brady to stay. But at this point, Brady is evaluating the NFL landscape with the intention of departing, sources said.

Brady cannot begin negotiating with other teams until the NFL's legal tampering period opens March 16. An eventual meeting between Brady and coach Bill Belichick has not yet been scheduled, according to Darlington. The new NFL league year begins at 4 p.m. ET March

I'll believe it when I see it.

Last person to talk to the media is Brady of all people anyways...

I just don't see who we get in his place. Philip Rivers maybe? Jameis Winston, if the Bucs move on from him? Any other Ideas?

It’s all just speculation. Nobody knows what Brady is going to do.

I could care less about what ESPN has to "report" on Brady and the Patriots

Feels like Brett leaving GB minus star QB on roster. Bill must have his eyes on someone younger that he feels can be plugged in. Big mistake to let this legend go.

Derek Carr? Lol... not exciting.

That being said, ESPN is next to worthless a lot of the time

I think Cam is done being a good quarterback. Without his top-tier athleticism, his bad accuracy will continue to get exposed.

Brady has been loyal to the Pats does anyone think it will hurt the Pats in free agency if he leaves because he was so loyal and they are letting him walk?
