I think he's perfectly fine and I don't think health was ever the issue.
It's strange that on some nights he doesn't play well yet other nights like tonight, he plays so much more effectively.
I have a theory, but will keep it to myself.
Does it involve the shape of the earth?
Similarly to the Philly game back in February when Hayward scored 30, he seems to play better when Kyrie isn't playing.
In order for Hayward to be consistent, he needs to be the focal point of the offense like he was in Utah.
Just my 2 cents. I am 100% open to differing takes and could very easily be proven wrong.
I know Gordon also scored 30 in the Golden State game which Kyrie did play in, but it just seems to me the majority of the time he's played well is when Kyrie hasn't played.
In addition to the GSW game, he also scored 35 in the Minny game that Kyrie played in. He played well (8 of 13 from the field) in the game against Toronto that we won with Kyrie having 27 pts and 18 assists, and the Milwaukee game we won, again with Kyrie. With that, Gordon gets more aggressive when there's weak perimeter defenders. He's beat up on Minny twice now, GSW sans Klay, Detroit, NYK, LAC - who are a tough team, but again lack a legit perimeter defender outside of Patrick Beverly.
With Gordon, it's about his mindset. It's not a coincidence that our winning percentage is incredibly higher when Gordon takes 4 or more FGs in the paint. It's also not a coincidence that his shooting percentage has improved every month of the season (shooting 55% in March, up from 51% in February, 47% in January, 37% in December) - it's one thing to be healthy, it's another to be in NBA shape. I think we're finally seeing the latter for Gordon.
