I happened to have the Olympics on around dinner time (6pm EST) when I realize that the handball announcer sounds a lot like Mike Gorman. I google it and sure enought announcing handball for NBC in London is our Mike Gorman. I still don't understand handball but at least I know and love one of the announcers!

Donny Marshall is also announcing the basketball games while Doc is an analyst for USA Basketball. I wonder if Comcast Sportsnet is owned by NBC. I have heard that Gorman has done other sports before and does have a wide range. I think I've seen him doing football games before too.

Yeah, C's actually have a strong presence over in London.  In addition to Gorman; Donny Marshall has been announcing games, and Doc has been doing pre/post game analysis.

I hope after he's done coaching, Doc takes over for Tommy when he finally retires.  Doc is a very good color commentator.  I think he chooses to stay in Orlando though when he's done coaching.

I bet Gorman called a spot on handball game.

Found this out in the last thread a week or two ago and still haven't caught a televised handball game  :'( :'(

I really hope I'm not the only one who read that and thought, "they're wasting the best announcer in basketball while torturing us with Donny Marshall?"
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa

Not much to understand in handball. It's a game for people who don't know how to play basketball  ;D

Yeah, and basketball is for "sissies", according to handball players.

I've played it for over a decade, because in the village I'm from, they didn't have a basketball club/team/court. It's "as close as it gets", and to be honest, it's a lot rougher than basketball.

Good fun.
