Sources: BOS offered NYK its No. 3 pick, a player & an additional lottery pick that they think they can acquire tonight in a trade for KP.

Woah, that's very interesting. What other lottery pick could we potentially get? Sacramento's 10 pick or Detroit at 12?

I also wonder who that player is - has to be Crowder, right?

Could be Brown, Smart, AB or Crowder at this point.   And one of them likely would be part of a trade to pick up another lotto pick.

Take out one of the #1 picks and I would do it...have to move crowder so you get enough money to get Hayward...losing Brown would sting but if they keep this year's #3 and get Jackson..softens the blow

The only problem with giving up Crowder and/or Brown is you are extremely thin at the SF position. You'd have to find a SF (Gordon Hayward) and a quality back up who could also small ball PF

Phil Jackson destroyed his relationship with his franchise player and is asking for Jae Crowder, Jaylen Brown, no. 3 & 2018 brooklyn pick...

My exact thoughts on the matter. You can't make that kind of demand after what you did last night to your relationship with Porzingis.

I don't see how Phil keeps him this season at this point. Last year they had a toxic environment; how much worse will it be this year when both Carmelo AND Porzingis are mad at the team and would like to be elsewhere?

Porzingis would be an addition who would let us sign Hayward and solve our inside problems.

That, said, the reported (NY media) asking price of Jaylen Brown, #3, Brooklyn 2018 and Crowder is insane. That's all the Nets picks that we've been years waiting for. ALL OF THEM.

I think James Young was actually selected with a Nets pick too.

I was thinking AB might be the person we trade for the other lottery pick. Probably need his cap space for a max anyways. Detroit at 12? Charlotte? Minnesota?

So we got

Stein vs Woj - 4 min ago... Who do you believe more?

Quote
Adrian Wojnarowski‏: Sources: Several teams engaging with NY on Kristaps Porzingis – including Boston – are unwilling to meet Knicks demands for deal. So far. 4 mins ago – via Twitter WojVerticalNBA

I mean, they're basically saying the same thing: Boston is trying to find an agreeable trade amount with NY.

They're certainly not doing the rumored two Brooklyn picks plus Brown and Crowder. That's insane.
I am still of the idea of # 3, Crowder, and a future 1st (not Nets, Lakers or Kings) to the Knicks.  Send AB (or Smart)  to another team with cap space for another 1st this year that can then go the the Knicks.  Feel free to help yourself to some 2nd round picks.
I could live with #3, Crowder and a non-Nets/Laker/King first as the trade.  we actually gain some cap space with Crowder making abou $2 mill more than Zinger next year.   No need to move AB or Smart to free up more cap space.  can just cut the FA's were were going to cut anyway in the hopes Hayward signs.

that proposal of Brown, #3, Nets 2018 AND Crowder is absolutely ridiculous.  I can only hope Danny would not be dumb enough to even consider that deal.  that Nets pick is a keeper unless we're getting Anthony Davis.

Im thinking it is Crowder going to NY in the trade for KP and possibly a trade with Sac #10 for AB
and then picking the player for NYK.

Pistons beat writer is suggesting that AB to Detroit might be the move for the other lottery pick. That makes sense value-wise to me. But with KCP there, do they really need AB?

Not unless you keep this year's #3 and take Josh Jackson and give up the 2018 nets pick
