My renewal just hit and tickets went up 15%.  ::)

Maybe I should root for them to start losing again?

I feel your pain!

My 313 row 8 seats went from $36 to $40 per seat

Playoff prices are more concerning though!!  Insane  >:(

Mine went up only 4%.  Playoffs will be expensive but it's hard to complain.  Just the nature of supply and demand.

That's what I like to hear! :)

And, of course, the page with the invoices is currently down. Must be run by the same people who run Celticsblog.

$74 to $84.  With the sharp increase in playoff prices as well and my dwindling interest in professional sports as a whole, it might be time for me to say goodbye.

i'm kind of feeling the same way, regular season ticket prices going up, playoff costs astronomical, the headache and absurd charges when trying to resell games you can't attend.  Players acting like babies constantly, just endless drama.. and the outcome of the season already predetermined before preseason. Not to mention the C's doing less and less for their season ticket holders but continue to charge more and more.
I think if the C's were still rebuilding I would call it a nice run and give up my tickets.. but then again costs wouldn't be as high so who knows.
I am going to renew next year and then kick the tires again to see if it's really worth it.

I'm having trouble determining how much I paid in total for playoffs last year, but it feels like the increase was a big one. My first round tickets went from $115 each to $130, the second round from $156 to $175 and the third round from $203/ticket to $245. Ouch. If we make it to the finals, my tix are $365 each.

For those who don't know, with playoff tickets, you pay for the whole thing up front, under the assumption that they will play four games in every round for four rounds (i.e., you're buying tickets for 16 games) and they reimburse you the difference when the playoffs are over.

For those who just want to attend a few games each year and don't care who you see, there are always same-day tickets available on the Celtics resale site below cost on game-day for the Phoenixes of the world.

I thought with the playoffs we could do the "pay as we play" plan.....I don't remember having to buy all 16 games last year??

Ya know what, you're right. Last year, there was an option. That's gone this year.

Mine still shows "pay as we play".  No charges until games are confirmed.

Interesting. I don't have "pay as we play" as an option. It says on mine that they'll charge me once we're officially in the playoffs.

Mike

Maybe it just defaults to your payment preference from last year? My playoffs are also also pay as they play. Call you rep.

That's what I think it is. I like to pay up front and then they can send me a check for a refund.
