Hayward finally heats up and Genius Stevens pulls him ?????
He's at nearly 32 minutes. No need to play more in a meaningless game.

I fear the same thing might happen in the 4th quarter of a Game 7 though.

Different situation...the worst thing would be for him to get injured playing in a decided game with the playoffs around the corner. Obviously it's a balance that has to be struck between playing and resting but I can understand why they sat him along with everyone else. I'm sure the bench guys were just raring to get on the floor too, their season is nearly over after all  :police:

Dominant first 18 minutes of the game, coasted the rest of the way.  Memphis couldn't do much to stop us from hitting shots.

Good win.

So looks like we're going to be playing Philly...I can't see them beating Toronto and Houston. I'm ok with playing a Simmons less Philly tbh.

Yeah, this was a desperate team that needed a win, and we played well.

Missed it sadly due to work, but great win! Both for morale, and also to help the Grizzlies pick.

Remember when people were panicking after the Bucks loss and the Heat loss? 4 straight wins  ;D

Also happy that it seems no one really had to play major minutes today, though Hayward played 33 minutes. Not too big a fan of that. Maybe they'll rest a ton of guys the final game before the playoffs.

If we lose to Philly, the coaching's gotta change. I see no reason for healthy Boston to lose to Simmons-less Philadelphia

I would have missed the game anyway, dealing with replacing a broken AC unit tonight, but these early start games on weekdays are super annoying.

I remember all hell was broken when we lost to Milwaukee, and then to Miami

caught tape delay -- what was up with NBCSN having the wrong start time for the game --> 6:30?  if I hadn't checked in a little earlier than that, I would have missed the entire first half and beginning of the second.

notice a similar thing going on for the next game where one station on my satellite provider has a noon start while NBCSN has it starting at 1:00.  Anyone know if local stations are getting screwed on this or is it just NBCSN with their heads up their butts?

on to the hot takes of the game based on what I saw starting halfway through the second quarter:
- great game by Tatum.
- Hayward had another strong outing
- Kemba and Smart bounced back with much better play
- Jaylen had an off night
- Timelord looked to have his best bubble game yet.  looking promising in terms of his development

Was it? I was definitely very down on Tatum after the Milwaukee loss (props to him for bouncing back, he exceeded my expectations) but I don't think anyone doubted the team as a whole. I certainly thought that we would be able to contend even if Tatum wasn't firing on all cylinders after the Milwaukee loss and didn't think much of the loss against the Heat (it was a freak game to me).

Simmons-less, AND with a possibly gimpy Embiid (ankle). But I'm sure Tobias Harris will go off for like 30 a game, lol.

Or I'm sure guys like Alec Burks, Josh Richardson, and Matisse Thybulle will have career nights against the C's lol
