Denver, Boston and San Antonio are making a three-way trade that includes  Juancho Hernangomez to Spurs, Bryn Forbes to Denver, Bol Bol and PJ Dozier to Celtics, sources tell ESPN.

Trade – from Woj

Bryn Forbes would have been really nice here. Bol Bol and PJ Dozier I'm guessing is a cost saving move? Although Bol Bol could be intriguing.

Yea helps the C's avoid tax, both are injured...thought Bol Bol had a good stint towards the end of last year/this year?

Celtics acquiring an injured Bol Bol and PJ Dozier is effectively a salary dump for the present. Allows team to cut about $4 million in salary (avoiding tax territory) and maybe get a look at some intriguing young guys once they get healthy. Assume 2nd round pick sent out too.

For those wondering, P.J. Dozier is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, and Bol Bol is currently out with a foot injury. #Celtics #Nuggets

PJ Dozier was a 2-way for us a few years ago that I was sad we let get away.  I hope he gets healthy and can stick with us this time around.

Some cap savings.  Perhaps a month-long audition for Bol if he gets healthy.  Dozier is expiring and not expected to return to the court before the end of the year, I believe.

Nothing to see here, really.  I think it gets us out of Juancho’s 22-23 season?  Not sure whether that was guaranteed or not.

Juancho wasn’t guaranteed for next year.

This was my initial reaction too. Forbes could have provided the spacing that we badly need. Anyway, good to see trader Brad making a move.

I predicted Hernangomez could well be traded for cap reasons in a similar deal an hour+ ago in another thread . Somewhat like the Walker/Horford trade last summer, it just made a lot of sense. He sucked and dumping him got you well below the tax.

I thought he had potential, but his numbers suck.

Hernangomez was totally useless. He had one game where he made a couple of shots - other than that he was taking up space on the bench.

Garbage in, garbage out.  Two more guys who won’t see minutes.

Solid for Denver I guess.

Will Bol Bol and Dozier count as roster spots? When Jabari was let go, the idea was to have an open roster spot right? But with this 1:2 trade, does that mean we have a full roster again?
