I must say, I think people definitely overrate this Raptors team. They have great depth, but no true number 1 option. Siakam is really good, but he just isn't great enough to be the lead scorer on a championship team. Not this year, at least. After that really hot start Siakam hasn't been as good as his numbers indicate.
Did you listen to Perk in the post-game?  He made a great point that the Raptors were missing wide open shots, including 3's, that they normally make.  I was surprised at how many misses of open 3-pt shots they had.  Siakam 1-5, VanVleet 1-6, Ibaka 0-4, Lowry 0-3, Gasol 0-3.  Toronto is fifth highest team 3-pt% this season, Boston is tenth.

I like the beat-down, but let's not kid ourselves.

Yes they missed shots that is why the got blown out. What made them m iss shots? Did Cs defense have anything to do with it. Maybe they did not feel as wide open as you saw.. Perhaps they were bothered by close-out defense of the Cs. When you have that kind of bowout you have to give the winning team some credit.

Tale of the tape - Celtics vs Raptors season stats

@Tor (10/25) Celtics 112-106 (all starters played)
Raptors FG 47.4% 3PT 50%
Celtics FG  38.5% 3 PT 34.2%

@Tor (12/25) Celtics 118-102 (Siakam & Smart out)
Raptors FG 47.5% 3PT 34.8%
Celtics FG 50% 3PT 42.4%

@Bos (12/28) Raptors 113-97 (Siakam & Gasol out)
Raptors FG 32.4% 3PT 41.2%
Celtics FG 39% 3PT 22%

@Tor (8/7) Celtics 122-100 (all starters played)
Raptors FG 42% 3PT 26%
Celtics FG  49% 3 PT 34%

Excuses can be made (Siakam injury). Robert missed the first three games and he is blossoming into a (DEM) dinosaur eating monster.

Celtics are 3-1 against Raptors this season. I think it's a matchup thing. Raptors, for whatever reason, have a hard time with...

Walker
Brown
Tatum
Hayward
Smart

Last night they couldn't hit a barn, but, they have not played that well against the Celtics this season.

I'm happy to see Rob Williams getting some minutes these last two games, but I do not understand the limited use of Kanter (tonite DNP). The guy is a rebounding machine, provides our only post offense within a set possession, plays hard and has a great attitude. I understand that his feet are a bit clumsy at times but he gives plenty of effort on defense. Wasn't it Portland that he made such a difference for in their playoff run last season ?

Brad is really emphasizing defense of late, and Kanter is no match for Williams on that end of the court.

Plus frankly on the offensive side, Williams has been really good.  Setting great picks, hitting shots (dunks are easy) and free throws. Highly efficient.

Kanter's only edge is offensive rebounding/put backs.

I see Kanter being limited to narrow situational situations going forward.  When the other team's center is slow footed, or where we are ice cold from the 3, and need some quick dirty points. (Not to mention that having Kanter to collect offensive boards helps shooters relax).

It would have been disrespectful to throw Kanter in when we were up by 40.

I like this team's possibilities much more with Rob as the first center off the bench.

Seems like just yesterday the media were predicting that G Williams would be the 3rd option at center, and R Williams wouldn't see any minutes.

Now this!
