Or are we? Is it a slow start or is this team fundamentally flawed for the new nba in a way that they weren't last year?

Mostly I just started this topic for the title.

If you ask me the record does not lie. We are what we see in our games.

this is certainly a bizzare season to start.

Warriors are having issues, Wizards and Celtics are dysfunctional while the Magic and the Fakers are getting the job done...to many teams with ongoing issues.

All I know is Adam Silver must be happy, because this was his vision, league parity in that a top seed team can go on a 5 game winning run then gobsmacked by a 4 game slide. While middle of the pack teams like US...would win one or two in a row and slide again the next three.

I would not go as far as putting us in the same boat with the wizards.
they are dysfunctional top to button (management, chemistry..). for us it is just the basketball.

Good morning. The Celtics have the same record as the Kings.

considering the only other 9-8 teams are Orlando and Sac, that's not saying much.

Lol, I believe the thread title is the quote from Lebron James (maybe Dwayne Wade???) after the Miami Heat started his first season there 9-8.

And if Boston ends up 30-9 like the Heat, then maybe there is something to this.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

No we are not. One of the teams is Orlando who already beat us. So when we end up tied for a playoff spot for like the 5-6-7 seed we will end up being the 7 seed if we keep losing to our peers and end up being the road dog to a team like Milwaukee who will kick our overvalued butts right out of the playoffs in round 1.

I think I know what's going on with this team. They only seem to play well against the top teams.

I'm starting to believe that they know by now seeding in the playoffs doesn't matter one bit. They were a 1 seed and a 2 seed and didn't get to Finals. Sure they may think they're playing hard but they aren't playing like their hair is on fire. They know the playoffs are down the road...nothing matters right now.

After we go on a nice 10-1 streak given the craptastic teams we will be playing over the next 3-4 weeks will we be the best 19-9 team in the league too?

They aren't playing hard.

Frequently, they just watch Irving play.

Hayward off the bench will help, but, he's one player.

Last year they were 16-3.

This year they just think they're 16-3.
