Celtics , Pacers , Raptors all need that Kawhi , Davis , Embiid star to put them into the unquestionable contender conversation.

unfortunately the top 10 players , except Giannis, demand to live in CA.

Jayson Tatum is going to be in that category soon, and is under team control for this season and the next 6.

So are we deceiving ourselves to think that the Celtics will get better in the 2nd half and somehow be able to win games against the best teams in the East?

The Celtics now have at least one victory against each of:   MIL, PHI, MIA, TOR, LAL, DEN & DAL.

The only 'top team' in the East they haven't won against is IND (they are 0-1 against them).  Of top teams in the West, they are 0-1 against LAC (super-close game on the road) and have not yet played HOU or OKC.

Yes, but the playoffs are something different.

Yes.  The playoffs wouldn't have had the Celtics playing several of those teams on second-game-back-to-backs in the midst of 3-in-4 or 5-in-7s.

I believe that too and hopefully Brown !

to replenish their never ending stream of stars ,  another two years Lakers will be eyeballing Simmons , and anybody else in that quality to replace LeTurd .  We need to pay our good players .

When 100% healthy, they're as good as anyone.  I think we are missing out on the maturation of Robert Williams this year and it's a shame!
