I think if the Celts continue to be the #1 or #2 seed in the east, 3 Celtic players will become All-Stars.

1. Kemba
2. Tatum
3. Smart

What you guys think?

I don't think Tatum has earned an All-Star spot ahead of Brown this season
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Voting hasn't started yet.

I think sooner or later, Tatum's gonna snap out of his shooting slump.

The All-Star voting is more of a popularity contest.
That's why I think Tatum has a chance to make it.
Tatum's more popular to NBA fans than Jaylen.

But no doubt Jaylen's playing at an All-Star level so far.

I think in terms of voting Tatum might be ahead of Jaylen, but I gotta think Jaylen is seen as better in the eyes of coaches.

We'll see. Would be awesome to see multiple Celtic All-Stars regardless

C’s have 5 all-star caliber players IMO. Doesn’t matter to me if 1 gets in or all 5. I prefer C’s get rest.  4 players averaging better than 19ppg (GH at 18.9) and an argument could be made that none of these 4 are the team’s MVP.

The 5 core players of the Celts are all below 30 years old.

I don't think they need a lot of rest.

Kemba, I think, will be the only Celtic to garner a shot of being voted onto the All-Star team for the Eastern Conference via fan voting.

For guards: 2 of these 3 will voted on as guards: Kyrie, Kemba and Beal

For the 3 forwards/center position I see these guys getting voted in before any Celtic: Embiid, Gianni's, Butler, and Siakam.

After that, at this point, I think the others Celtics likely to make based on how they have played, in order of most deserving to least is:

Hayward
Brown
Tatum
Smart

Now, Hayward won't make it in if he comes back in late December but if he returns in mid to early December and plays like he was he might make it and be the most worthy of the 4.

Brown has a good chance of making it as a guard if he continues to play like he is.

Tatum would need to become much more efficient to make it.

Smart doesn't stand a chance of making it. Guys scoring just 12 PPG with 5 APG that shoot 39% from the field and 34% from three don't make All-Star games. I don't care how good their defense is.

This love affair with Smart is strange.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I get that he’ll never be an All-Star, but it hardly seems “strange”

I kinda have a love hate relationship with Smart. Love his leadership, grit, tenacity, BBIQ, defense and passing. But man, I hate his shot selection, poor shooting, trying to force fancy passes and the way he just loses it sometimes at the expense of the team(bad fouls, bad technicals, taking tantrums and hurting himself, etc.).

That said, I am ridiculously happy he is a Celtic but don't ever see him making an All-Star team.

Jimmy Butler is really not that popular.

Last season Tatum had more votes.

I get all of this, tho it also seems to me that those negatives improve a little each year. The last couple games, e.g., the refs blew some critical calls down the stretch and he stayed cool. He really seems to be growing as a person and a player each year and I think he still hasn’t peaked.

I think Kemba is safely an all star. After that, I don't know.

As others have noted, there are 5 guys who will legitimately be in contention for a spot. Gordon looked like old Gordon but he'll probably have missed too many games. Brown is averaging 19-7 but might be overshadowed by his teammates. Smart is a DPOY candidate but doesn't have the numbers that traditionally get an all star nod. And then there's Tatum, who I think has the best chance of making the team (outside of Kemba) but is still young and sometimes this stuff comes down the politics.

If the C's are top 3 in the East come all star weekend, my guess is Kemba and Tatum will make it and that'll be it.

If they go on a run and find themselves #1 in the East... maybe one of Brown or Smart make it as well.

Kemba and Gordon are basically 30, Smart is banged up and the Jays have been playing year round.  Rest is good.
