Man, they really gonna tie up all their cap in Bledsoe and Middleton?

That's the #1 team in the conference right now so why not?

Yes, indeed. What they're doing is clearly working, so why change it?
They'll keep Brogdon as well and Lopez is also a kind of must.
Then the question is whether they'll resign Middleton or Mirotic or both.
I wouldn't pay Middleton a (close)-max contract if he's seeking that.

I honestly would have saved the money I'd be paying Bledsoe and pay Middleton instead.

So what does Rozier command considering he owned him last year.

Bledsoe has actually been the better player this year by most advanced metrics.  They are much better off paying Bledsoe 17.5 million than Middleton 30 million.  Now if they can get Middleton at like 20 million, that is a solid contract, but locking up Bledsoe now was a good move.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Celts should make a move on Middleton. If Horford picks up his option, deal him to Milwaukee in a S&T for Middleton. He'd be perfect on this team.

If I had to put a number on it, I think the 4/56 deal that Smart got last summer might end up being what Rozier gets (give or take.)

Don't forget Bledsoe has been in the league longer is somewhat more established, though I am not a huge fan of him.

Horford makes far more sense for Boston, but Boston is over the tax and can't acquire anyone in a sign and trade so that would be moot.

Seems...pretty reasonable actually for a guy who's just a couple notches below all-star caliber.

Difficult to make S&Ts work for teams over the cap and expensive contracts - the signed'n'traded player, Middleton in this case, would only count for 50% of his new salary from the Bucks perspective. Almost impossible to salary match.

In any case, I don't think Milwaukee has any intention of letting Middleton leave. Same with Brogdon. Likely the same with Mirotic and Brook Lopez (if he's willing to pay for the Mid-Level Exception). They're not going to lose talent with no plausible way to replace it when Antetokounmpo is 2 years away from hitting free-agency.

And Horford will be 33 next season. Middleton 28. Giannis 24.
