Our stars led us to victory. Offense looked good.
Cuts to the basket and unselfish passing.

Defense..... is another story.

Yeah - they scored more than enough to win comfortably. The defense, tho....

Okay I’ve changed my mind.

Tatum’s our best player.

LOL

They’re both awesome.

They're both great. I wish we wouldn't get into the "who's better" debate because they're both really, really good and have so much more room to grow. Jaylen has improved so that he can capitalize on getting so many one-on-one opportunities and Jayson has improved his passing and court vision when he's getting trapped off the pick & roll so much. We may lose more games than we're comfortable with, but I watching those two grow will be fun.

That's the kind of game I like Tatum playing. Not incredibly efficient from the field, but he was dropping sweet passes, rebounding and making good defensive plays when it mattered. If he can stay engaged in all aspects of the game whether his shot is dropping or not will dictate how good he can be.

Now in Toronto tomorrow.  Got to say a tough schedule to start the year.

Have to say that when the Jays score 55 on 23-38 (9-16 from 3) I would expect better than a 2 point win over the Pistons.

Really frustrating to watch Detroit's offense just thoroughly outplay C's defense.  All night.

Nailbiter against a bad team but we have to start somewhere

Great game from the Jays, 23-38 combined. Tatum with 12 assists, that must be a career high? Great to see him making plays for others. And Jaylen couldn't miss. Solid contributions from Theis and Smartacus as well.

Special mention goes to Semi who channeled his inner Curry tonight. We needed those shots to keep in touch.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Is Blake Griffin toast?

Please no more trade proposals for him on this Board.

I agree. Didnt force it

Tatum actually was pretty efficient in shooting tonight. Almost 50 percent from the field

It wasJaylen Brown that was god mode efficient in the 1st half

Yup

From Dunk machine. To now strictly jump shooter?

He looks like one of the least athletic guys on the Pistons.

If Jaylen keeps this up is he once more a candidate for MIP? Currently at 8 points above what he produced last year with improved passing (again) and insane efficiency.

Going to be hard to keep it up... but what if he did!

Offensively, Daniel had a really nice game.  And the almost and one was clutch. Thies 15 points on 7-8.

Anybody else panicked when Tatum got a hand on the ball at the final buzzer

I wish he wouldnt have got that close. Could have been a disaster

I said early on that I liked his approach and passing to begin the game. He wasn't forcing anything, just letting the game come to him and making good reads. That's the next step in his evolution - recognizing when his teammates are in better position than him and helping them be better. This was a good game towards that.

Even though I’m disappointed with our 4-3 start, let’s all remember we’re missing our 3rd best scorer, a guy who was on all star team last season.

Won’t solve our defensive woes but we shouldn’t have to struggle as much to score end of games.

Get well soon Kemba.
