Hey what happened to this thread(s)? I was the #2 poster yesterday (my highest ever) when there were 2 threads for the same game. Guess the one I posted in was deleted. :(
When setting up this thread, somehow two early, still yet to be edited and finished other threads got saved. So there were actually three game threads there for the same game, two being open and wrong and the still unfinished real one being locked.nick, I'm so sorry for your loss.
Have patience guys. I am still very new to this and have a lot going on personally with the recent death of my mom. I will get the threads open as soon as I can and then update them with injuries right up to game time.
Morris is questionable. :(This probably is not popular to say but it could make it easier. The ball will not stick as much. For everything Morris gives he will eventually give it back.

Shouldve easily made one of those last 2 shots. Wouldve preferred al kick it out to Tatum over hayward...perhaps, but at that point in the game on 3 pointers hayward was 3 for 4 and tatum 0 for 5.
Today and for the next couple of years, Gordon Hayward is a better all around player than Jayson Tatum. You will learn that soon enough.

I think we are spolied overall but opponents have shot 39%, 46%, 41%, and 41% so far vs the team. Hav e they been perfect? No. But, overall, their defense has been ok. I would say it has been streaky but overall their defense has been good enough to win if they had an acceptable offense, especially vs teams like the Knicks and Magic.If they are average offesnively, they win by double digits.Well deserved loss.

I'm much more concerned about the defense than you, as I think we've looked nearly as bad on that end as the offensive end.
On both ends, though, it certainly does seem to be a lack of chemistry and communication. Especially offensively, it looks just like a bunch of individuals out there who haven't played with each other before; it looks like a rec league out there.

Biggest concern though is that we have guys who the hype has gone to their heads. Rozier thinks he is a 20 Mill a year starter. Brown & Tatum not getting it done defensively, Brown can't hit water from a boat, Horford thinks he is Durant, Kyrie Irving is no leader - he was so proud of "getting in a good place physically, mentally and spiritually" this summer. That's great if you are the Reverend down at the local AME Zion - but can you imagine Bird or Cowens or Garnett coming up with a comment like that during training camp ?

Was not able to be on the thread during the game - I can only imagine. What a stink fest! This was actually a game that it's better to lose than win. They thoroughly deserved the L, but it would have been worse if they had been able to sleep walk through 46 minutes and win it in the last 2. Also speaking to some comments here about the defense, it doesn't help that Hayward is trying to find his sea legs right now - and is pretty much a liability defensively. Couple that with being undersized with their starting lineup against a lot of teams and it's an issue.I'm surprised that this is your take with our defence. Hayward has been better than Tatum defensively over the whole season, and was better than Brown on defence today
It will improve but I think Brad should consider shaking up the lineup a bit - maybe move Morris in with the starters and either drop Jaylen or swap Tatum to 6th man for a bit. I understand he needs to bite the bullet for a bit with Hayward - who is getting better, but defensively he's nowhere close to what he'll be when he's full speed.
Both kyrie and Hayward had good looks. You can't ask for more. We're lucky we even had 2 good chances at tying
They're giving up a lot of 2nd chance points and I really think Hayward has been a weak link defensively. Teams are going at him. But that's going to change as he logs more minutes. We are tied with Orlando, Charlotte & Indiana for the 5-8 seed so we may have a chance at the playoffs but Orlando beats us in the tiebreaker so far. We should be 1-3 because the win over the Knicks was a lucky win and if Kanter doesn't foul out we would have been toast. Toronto is unbeaten and they beat Washington without Kawhi. Let's face it folks we are nowhere near as good as everyone thought we were. Kyrie has been really bad. Maybe he should make a movie on how to lead a team and how to make shots or how to not force bad shots because you want to be the man you aren't.Hilarious that, in a season where Jaylen Brown is closer to his rookie production than his sophomore production, Al Horford is averaging below 12ppg and is shooting 33% from deep, Rozier is still a sub-40% shooter from the field and our two best players are coming off injury, you still decide that Kyrie deserves the lions share of the blame. We barely beat NY who is a projected lottery team. Orlando dominated us from start to finish. I just hope we don't play Atlanta soon because that will be the ultimate embarrassment. As much as I am criticized for hating Irving, you Gouk, are in love with him, no matter what he does. You love him.
