The best part of the win today is we can totally put this old question to bed.  5 Super Bowl appearances to 2. I've heard around here "Well Super Bowls are really just a tie breaker"

Well that's one heck of a tie breaker.  5-2.

And of course I meant Peyton Manning, but sometime soon Eli could easily stake his claim to being the better Manning

Let's just say there's no question what the best organization in football is.  Top to bottom, the Patriots have a great organization.  No other team has that combination of QB, character on the roster, coaching, management, etc.

no. Let's not just say that. Let's say that aaaaaannnnddd say Brady is better than the  Mannings combined with their 2 whole Super Bowl rings between Peyton, Archie, and Eli...heck...throw in Cooper and the mom too

I'm not sure now is a great time to be extolling the greatness of Tom Brady, considering he played about as bad as he could have with his team still winning the game.

He got outplayed quite handily by Joe Flacco, for Pete's sake.

I'm confident that there's no coach-QB combo in the league right now, and perhaps not anywhere else in the history of the NFL, that is better than Bellichick-Brady.

I agree.  Now is an odd time for a coronation.  Pats won despite him today.   I am just amazed that with this defense and with Brady playing poorly, we beat a very good team with their QB playing at the top of his game.

Incidentally, We have now defeated a team with a winning record.

... although they sort of beat themselves in the last 30 seconds there.  Between Lee Evans and Billy Cundiff, the Ravens have a couple of goats.

Yeah, Patriots definitely backed their way into the Superbowl.

Though with the Lee Evans thing, you have to give credit to Sterling Moore for two superb defensive plays to force the field goal.

Ok ok. Try to pretend this happened years ago and one of the good wins happened today. 5-2. Debate over

Yeah. With Vince Wilfork's huge backside pointed straight at the Ravens.

We don't want to embarrass Peyton Manning

I guarantee Peyton calls Tom tonight and Tom has no time for him.
