  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Good news, hope we get more of the 17-18 Theis than the 18-19 but he's been a solid piece for us and seems well-liked. Welcome back!

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s exactly the same.

Not a bad deal for him. i was expecting something closer to the minimum.
maybe the 5 mil is for a future trade?

That's a wrap.

Can't see us adding any other players now.

Hoping he returns to 17/18 pre-surgery form. Can't see why not.

Maybe a trade is coming like they did with Baynes
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I’m guessing other teams were looking at him for the room exception so the Celtics gave it to him.

Good deal. Solid frontcourt depth.

He showed flashes 2 years ago averaging 9/6 off the bench but like many last year just seemed lost in the frustrations/logjams. Also dealt with injuries.

If anything, his salary could also be used as salary filler in a future trade.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
So I guess this seals the deal for Cousins lol.

Much has been made of the continued availability of DeMarcus Cousins. According to source, Celtics are not interested. Don't want the potential drama

He lost a good bit of explosiveness following the knee injury. Hopefully, he’s back to form this season.

I like it.  Let see if he can build on his play from two seasons ago.

Also of importance, His salary plus Yabu is about 8 million in trade value.  (throw in Kanter, 13 million)
